Friends Of Youth Open New Roads Renton

New Roads Renton works in collaboration with Lutheran Community Services and the WA DSHS office of Refugee and Immigration Assistance.

 

Friends of Youth is pleased to announce the opening of New Roads Renton, an extended foster care program for up to five young men ages 17-21. The new program supports refugee foster youth as they transition to adulthood with the following services:

  • Positive transitions into adulthood
  • Building relationships
  • Educational advocacy and support
  • Employment Support
  • Community access to involvement
  • Furthering independence and self sufficiency
  • Culturally appropriate activities

New Roads Renton is operated by Friends of Youth as a contracted extended foster home program with Lutheran Community Services Northwest and funding by Washington Department of Social and Health Services Office of Refugee and Immigration Assistance. Lutheran Community Services Northwest partners with individuals, families and communities for health, justice and hope.
