This is a tradition for many families,” said Doug Medbury, Associate Dean of Culinary Arts & Director of Food Service. “We invite all Renton residents to come to Renton Technical College for this extraordinary brunch, which include a made-to-order omelet bar, a ham and beef slicing station, a beverage bar (non-alcoholic), and a full brunch buffet of potatoes, Danish & pastries, fruit displays, salads, pasta bar, eggs & potatoes O’Brien and waffles.”
In addition to the high-class fare, the brunch is an incredible value: $15 for adults, or $10 for seniors and children under the age of 10. Reservations are strongly advised. The brunch sells out every year. Call 425-235-5845 x4 for reservations.
The Culinary Arts program includes 45 students; nearly half the program will work this year’s Mothers Day Brunch.
Renton Technical College’s Culinary Arts program hosts two additional buffets each year, including a Holiday Buffet in December and a Summer Barbecue Buffet, set for July 19.
If you can’t make the Mother’s Day brunch, students in the program also serve lunch Monday though Thursday from 11:15 a.m. -1 p.m. on campus in the Culinaire Room. Culinary students serve more than 100 diners each Friday at a buffet-style lunch. The all-you-can-eat spread is $8 per person.
