Denise Eider To Run Unopposed For Renton School District School Board, Director District No. 4

Eider is a resident of West Hill/Skyway.

Denise Eider, a mom and four-year resident of the West Hill/Skyway community filed for the Renton School District School Board, Director District No. 4 last week. 

Eider will run unopposed for the seat. The 37-year-old said her passion for helping children and building stronger schools spurred her interest in the position.

An active volunteer in schools, a member of parent organizations, and in her church, Eider has worked with a the Renton/Skyway Boys and Girls Club; the Renton Chamber of Commerce; the Skyway Earth Day cleanup; and is a former member of SeaTac Rotary. She currently works as an Account Executive for a Renton title insurance company.

The Washington State School Directors Association defines School Board roles as providing governance of the school district and working with the superintendent to provide leadership for the district.  That leadership promotes student achievement through planning, policy setting, advocacy and monitoring performance so all students can learn and succeed.  

“It’s important for families, schools, and communities to believe in and work together to educate all children, especially those in underrepresented areas," she said. "Providing the solid foundation necessary for students to be successful in college, careers, and life is a key to preparing our future workforce and leaders for this region. Leading this work for the Renton School District is an amazing opportunity.”
