Canvassing Board Certifies Results for Renton City Council

It's official: Ed Prince wins position 5 on the Renton City Council.

The King County Canvassing Board certified the Nov. 2011 General Election results on Tuesday at 8:30 a.m. at the King County Elections office in Renton.

Mayor Denis Law ran unopposed, garnering more than 96 percent of the vote, as did Council member Marcie Palmer (position 3) who received 98 percent of the vote. Incumbent Council members Greg Taylor (position 4) got 71 percent and Don Persson (position 7) earned 64 percent of the votes.
