Upon arrival, they found an unresponsive 58-year-old man who was seat-belted into the driver’s seat of the car. He was later declared dead at the scene. It’s unknown if alcohol played a part in the incident.

According to a report from the Washington State Patrol, the PT Cruiser was traveling south on I-405 when the driver took the south SR-167 exit. The car grazed the barrier and came to rest in the right side grass median.

The King County Medical Examiner will release the man’s name and cause of death following the investigation and notification of the man’s family.
