Seattle Resident ID'd as Victim in Suspected Renton Homicide

Shortly after 7 a.m. Saturday, the Renton Police were sent to the 8300 block of South 130th Street, where a man was found dead.

The King County Sheriff's Office first responded to the location when a caller had reported a car partially blocking the roadway. After King County secured the scene, and the location was determined to be within Renton city limits, the investigation was handed over to the Renton Police Department.

"Initial examination indicated that the victim, an African-American adult male, had been the victim of homicidal violence, although the cause and manner of the man’s death has not yet been determined," according to a Renton Police Department press release.
