Distraught man was apparently suicidal, surrendered to Renton Police Officers willingly. Hospital spokesperson described the incident as "uneventful"

More than a dozen Renton Police Units responded to a "distraught and apparently suicidal" man at Valley Medical Center on Monday afternoon, said Kim Blakeley, a hospital spokesperson.

The man, who was on the sixth floor of a Valley Medical parking garage, was unarmed and surrendered to police without incident.

Blakeley, who was away from off campus at the time the man was discovered, was notified by one-site security officers.
