Following an investigation into yesterday's report of a possible abduction, Renton Police have determined that the woman was neither abducted nor kidnapped.

A witness told police that two men forced a woman into a car in the 600 block of Monster Road Southwest shortly before 1 p.m. on Sunday afternoon. The witness followed the silver 1997 Saturn until Renton Police caught up to it, according to a statement from the police department.

The driver refused to stop and led police on a two-minute chase into Tukwila, then drove onto the northbound lanes of I-5. The driver immediately turned the car in the opposite direction and headed southbound in the northbound lanes, hitting a 1997 Ford Taurus vehicle head-on, ending the police pursuit.
