Help A Renton Family In Need—Donate A Turkey Dinner To Salvation Army

Stop By Fred Meyer in Dowtown Renton to donate a Turkey to the Salvation Army!

From Capt. Chris Aird:

We have been signing families up for Thanksgiving over the past 7 weeks and thus far, we have 443 families already signed up!  We anticipate handing out a Thanksgiving meal with turkey to close to 600 families.

The Fred Meyer downtown Renton is partnering once again this year with the dates of November 15-17, 2012. We will have staff, Advisory Council members and various volunteers with Fred Meyer and The Salvation Army collecting bagged items that customers of Fred Meyer will purchase and then donate to The Renton Salvation Army Rotary Food Bank.

We are in great need for Turkeys this year to accompany as we have 1 at this moment. If you can get the word out on this to support our community, it would be greatly appreciated.

I will be out at the Fred Meyer on Thursday, Friday and Saturday at various times along with others. People are encouraged to come to Fred Meyer to purchase a bag of food or two as well as donate turkeys.

Thank you again and if you have any questions, please do not hesitate to ask! Have a fantastic day!
