Grads Get The Big Bucks & A List Of Upcoming Ceremonies

Americans will spend nearly $5 BILLION on gifts for graduates of the class of 2012. What have you given or received?

Graduation season is here. How much do you plan to spend on your grad this year?

Americans will spend nearly $5 BILLION on gifts for graduates of the class of 2012, according to an article published in TIME Magazine

If you haven't set a budget for this 'season of giving,' maybe now is the time to start.

On a personal note, my parents bought me a laptop computer as a high school graduation gift. It was by far the most useful, and used, item I received.

The most appreciated and heartfelt gift? A copy of Dr. Seuss' "Oh, The Places You Will Go" with a hand-written note from a friend.

Again - what's your budget? What have you given — or received — for graduating from college, high school, middle school, elementary school, or kindergarten?

We know you may break the bank on your grad, so we want to let you know how to sing their praises for FREE on Patch. Sign in to create a personal announcement with photos and videos to let your grads know how proud you are. Here's how: http://patch.com/A-tHc8
