On a personal note, my parents bought me a laptop computer as a high school graduation gift. It was by far the most useful, and used, item I received.

The most appreciated and heartfelt gift? A copy of Dr. Seuss' "Oh, The Places You Will Go" with a hand-written note from a friend.

As a helpful reminder, here's the list of upcoming graduation ceremonies:

  • Graduation begins at noon at the ShoWare Center in Kent on Tuesday, June 12, 2012. Students must be in the dressing areas at 11 a.m. ShoWare Center parking is free but space is limited.
  • Doors will open at 3 p.m.; Graduation begins at 3:30 p.m. at the ShoWare Center Kent on Tuesday, June 12, 2012. Admission by ticket only (NOT available at the door) tickets can be purchased at Renton High School.
  • Graduation begins at 7 p.m. at the ShoWare Center Kent on Tuesday, June 12, 2012. 
Renton Academy Graduation & Promotion CeremonyThursday, June 14, 2012 
  •  Thursday, August 2 at ShoWare Center in Kent. The ceremony begins at 7 p.m. Students should arrive no later than 6:30 p.m.
