People For Piazza Park Library

The group will celebrate its official campaign kickoff and fundraiser on Thursday, June 28 at 5 p.m. at The Red House in downtown Renton.

 

A group of citizens, active in the Renton community, have organized a committee to support a new library in Downtown Renton.

“It’s a very excited and lively group,” said co-chair King Parker. “They’re charging at the bit.”

The group of about eight people first in late May and have since printed and begun distributing posters.

They chose the name, “People For Piazza Park Library,” and have printed posters in support of their vision, which depict a rendition of the new library they hope to have built on South Third Street.

Posters (11 x 17-inches) are available by donation at the , said owner Rich Sweeney.
