Parents of Slain Woman Urge Shooter to Come Forward
Lonnie Lynn Reynolds' parents joined a group Sunday at Liberty Park, where their daughter was shot on May 23. Services are planned for Friday.
The parents of a young woman shot and killed at Renton Park last week are hoping to find justice for their daughter, urging the shooter to come forward.
Lonnie Lynn Reynolds, 20, was apparently caught in a crossfire at Liberty Park on May 23 and on Sunday her parent joined a crowd there.
"Just come forward and be a man and accept what you did. It's horrible, firing into a crowd," Lonnie's mother, Flaime Reynolds, told KOMO News.
The parents are now planning a service on Friday for their daughter, who recently returned to the Renton area after spending a year working in Texas.
"She was just at the wrong place at the wrong time, and it's just devastating," said Reynolds' father, Kebin Fears. "You come to a park and there's people who have guns. My daughter didn't have a gun. She doesn't own a gun."
