The Renton Community Foundation is a 501 c3, not-for-profit organization that manages a group of charitable fundsMore established by individual donors and local non-profit organizations, making grants back to the community to benefit a broad array of causes, such as healthcare, the arts, education, youth and families, emergency services, education, and senior emergency pet care. Today, RCF manages almost $6 million and serves the greater Renton area and beyond with over 40 individual funds. RCF's goal is not to champion one cause over another, but rather to benefit the entire community and to connect donors to the causes they care about most, while partnering with local charitable organizations to increase efficiencies and strengthen their ability to deliver critical services.

Burst for Prosperity

This is the headquarters for Burst for Prosperity, an initiative of the Children's Home Society of Washington (CHSW).More  Created by a grant from the Northwest Area Foundation, Burst for Prosperity works to reduce poverty and facilitate ongoing prosperity among low-income individuals. The program originally targeted Burien, Renton, SeaTac, Skyway, and Tukwila; however, a 2009 agreement with the Northwest Area Foundation expanded the program to cover all of Washington state. The end goal of the program is to help the low-income community become financially independent.
