Originally built in 1968, Hazen High School underwent an extensive remodeling process from 2000 through 2005. During that time the old landmark smokestack was removed and the much-anticipated auditorium as built. The school is named in honor of Oliver M. Hazen, who served as the Renton School District superintendent from 1936 to 1966. The school offers a variety of seasonal sports teams throughout the year.
