Salvation Army Makes Holidays Wishes Come True

Donations accepted throughout the holiday season.

The holiday season is here and the wants to make sure everyone can enjoy the festivities.

Last week 75 volunteers, including Council member Marcie Palmer, spent the day at collecting donations for the Salvation Army’s Thanksgiving Assistance program.

The Salvation Army distributed the Thanksgiving food packages to pre-registered families on Monday, and will continue dispersing the donation on Tuesday. Donations are still being accepted for Thanksgiving, and throughout the holiday season.

The food bank will close at noon on Wednesday, Nov. 23 and re-open at 9 a.m. on Monday, Nov. 28.

Families in need of food for the Christmas holiday may sign up for assistance on Fridays through Dec. 2 at the Salvation Army Dining Hall, 720 S. Tobin Street from 9 a.m.-noon, or call (425) 255-5969.
