Recycle Styrofoam Packaging For Free, December 27-28

Save space in your garbage bin, recycle holiday Styrofoam packaging.

The holidays have come and gone and the trash cans and recycling bin are full of wrapping paper and packaging material.

Lighten the load by recycling any styrofoam packaging. StyroRecycling LLC and Humble Davenport Insurance Brokers, Inc. have teamed up to help the Renton community by hosting a free recycling event on Dec. 27 and 28 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Drop off styrofoam packaging collected over the holidays at the drop off center, located at 800 SW 43rd St. in Renton, just west of IKEA. The center will also be collecting non-perishable food items for the .

I'm not sure why this was an event. Ikea has been accepting Styrofoam packaging at that location for years. It's my go-to place for that. You should be able to go anytime.

Thanks, Gregg. I should have clarified. This was posted as an event because they were accepting Styrofoam at no charge. It's my understanding that there's normally a fee to recycle it.
