It's time for spring cleaning in Renton! Volunteer to beautify downtown, pick up something new to you at the community garage sale, catch a show and grab a bite.


  • When/Where: 9 a.m.-12 p.m. Saturday, April 21, in downtown Renton.
  • Why Go: Help downtown Renton get ready for the Spring Festival on May 5. Join business owners, community members and other downtown stakeholders as they "spring clean" downtown Renton by doing everything from picking up litter to weed pulling and planting.
  • Price: Free. Bring gloves, some tools will be provided.

  • Why Go: Join the Rainier Symphony for a night of fantastic classical music as they perform their third classical concert of the 2011-2012 season. These talented musicians put on a great show, but don't take our word for it, check out this YouTube clip of the Rainier Symphony in action and see for yourself. If you can't make it to the concert on Saturday, be sure to check out their repeat performance on Sunday, April 22, at the Foster Performing Arts Center in Tukwila beginning at 3 p.m.
