Nominate The 2012 Citizen Of The Year

The deadline to submit nominations is September 14.

Do you know someone who promotes and supports Renton? Someone who is dedicated to making the Renton community a great place to live, work, play and learn? 

Now is your chance to recognize that special person. The is asking for help to identify individuals from the Renton community who perform acts of goodwill in an effort to help others and to improve the quality  of life in Renton. September 14 is the deadline for all nominations.

The formally recognizes the contributions made by individuals who help nurture the soul and sense of community in Renton through their selfless acts of generosity and volunteerism.

Representatives from the Renton Chamber of Commerce, City of Renton,  and past winners will select the top three Outstanding Citizens, who will be honored at a special banquet. Of these, one candidate will be named Citizen of the Year.

People who exemplify the traits of an Outstanding Citizen are candidates who have

served Renton beyond the call of duty;  who demonstrate strong character; leadership, commitment and community service; and contribute his/her talents in helping others. 

In addition, Renton’s Citizen of the Year will have served in more than one area of interest; demonstrated service over a period of time; and have significantly impacted the Renton Community.

Nomination forms are available at the City of Renton website (click on the Spotlight section), or on the Renton Chamber of Commerce website (click on the link for Citizen of the Year).  Nominations are accepted electronically, via email and in hardcopy form sent to:
