ARISE Seeks Volunteers

Take 2 hours to make and serve dinner to homeless men in Renton.

ARISE, a rotating shelter for homeless men in Renton, desperately needs volunteer help in January 2012. Groups or teams of people are needed to provide dinner for the men on January 3,4,10,11,15,16,18,23,24,25,30,31. Groups may be as few as four people, or as many as 10!

Volunteers work together to prepare a meal that is served at 9 p.m., assemble a sack lunch and leave breakfast items for the following morning. It is easy to do, and the men are very appreciative. Volunteer work is a great team-building project for families, coworkers, church members, or groups of friends.

The time commitment is about two hours on night you chose to volunteer on. ARISE dinners take place at The Salvation Army, 720 S. Tobin. Please call or email Sally at (sckat4@comcast.net), or (425-228-1871) for more information, or if you can help.
