What’s happening at Newcastle Days?

This year’s event includes new activities and familiar favorites. Enjoy musical and dance performances, vendor tents and activities such as face painting and balloon artistry, pony rides, food vendors and the Newcastle Chamber of Commerce Beer Garden.

New this year at Newcastle Days
  • A three on three basketball tournament
  • Community competitions like three-legged races, a pay for play area and expanded children’s play area.
  • The pay for play area will feature a climbing wall, tea cup style spinning ride and inflatable slides and bounce areas.
  • A free expanded children’s area will include inflatables for toddlers.
  • Hazen High cheerleaders will provide free face painting and kid tattoos all day.
  • The first Robotics High School competition between teams from Issaquah, Liberty and Newport high schools will go on all day in the tennis courts.
  • Two frisbee throwing robots will be on hand.
The Newcastle Chamber Beer Gardens

The Newcastle Chamber returns to host the Newcastle Days Beer Gardens. The beer lineup includes Miller Lite, Mac n Jacks and Manny’s Pale Ale. Glasses of chardonnay and cabernet will also be served at the Beer Garden at Newcastle Days – along with bottles of water.

Beer Garden guests must be 21, I.D. will be verified at the door to allow entrance. No exceptions will be made.

Newcastle 5K Run/Walk for Education

Registration is open for the Newcastle 5K Run/Walk for Education Sunday, September 8th. Participants will start at 9 a.m. at Lake Boren Park, run or walk on Newcastle trails, and finish at Lake Boren Park. The course closes at 10:45 p.m. All proceeds will go to a scholarship fund for Newcastle high school seniors. A kids dash, bitty kids dash and post-run activities also will be a part of the fun.
