State Track And Field Results Day 1

Reiter and Downen place 7th in 3200 run

In the first day of the state track and field championships at Mount Tahoma Stadium in Tacoma, Lindbergh's Sarah Reiter placed seventh in the 3200 meter run in a time of 11:14.68. Teammate Travis Downen also placed seventh in the 3200 in a time of 9:25.78. The pair still have the 1600 meter run to compete in.

Lindbergh's 4 x 400 meter relay team moves into the finals with a 3:28.74 in heat one (Austin Franklin, Mitchell Hughey, Evan Lamb and Aaron Arzaga). They have the seventh fastest entering the finals.

Lindbergh freshman Christina Wiley placed 14th in the prelims of the 200 meter run.Wiley did not qualify for the finals.

Renton and Lindbergh's 4 x 200 girls meter relay and Hazen's 4 x 400 meter boys relay did not qualify for the finals.

Hazen's Sarah Schoville finished sixth in the first heat of the 100 meter hurdles. She did not qualify for the finals.

Lindbergh's Joe Simpson was disqualified in the second heat of the 110 hurdles.

Overall team points in day one (through two events):

Lindbergh girls and Lindbergh boys with 2 points; Hazen and Renton have no points.
