The parking lots of Renton Memorial Stadium will be closed to the public for the next two months as extra money left over from the voter approved 2008 school construction bond will allow the district to upgrade the north and south parking lots to include paving, improve lighting and drainage.
The north parking lot will only be closed when it comes time for paving. Both lots will reopen in time for the first football game on September 5.
The project also includes providing new site fencing and upgrade landscaping and irrigation in field areas (north and west of the stadium) not improved in the previous renovation.
