Renton Sports Teams Capture 13 League Titles

As the school year concludes Thursday, Renton's three high schools were successful in athletics winning 13 Seamount League titles.

Boys Cross County - Lindbergh title, Luke Garcia (athlete of the year), Jef Rettman (coach of the year).

Girls Cross Country - Lindbergh title, Sarah Reiter (athlete of the year), Jef Rettman (coach of the year).

Football - Renton's Anthony Gold (athlete of the year), Hazen's Drew Oliver (coach of the year)

Girls golf - Lindbergh's Jennifer Steinhilber (athlete of the year).

Girls soccer - Lindbergh title, Lindbergh's Whitney Hilde (athlete of the year).

Girls swimming/diving - Hazen title, Hazen's Talisa Wibmer (athlete of the year), Lindbergh's Roger Miron (coach of the year), Lindbergh team sportsmanship award.

Girls basketball - Renton title, Lindbergh's Emily Graver (athlete of the year), Renton's Tim White (coach of the year).

Gymnastics - Lindbergh (co-title) and Hazen team sportsmanship award.

Boys swimming/diving - Hazen title, Lindbergh's Roger Miron (coach of the year), Lindbergh sportsmanship award.

Baseball - Lindbergh title, Lindbergh's Benny Benavides (coach of the year).

Boys soccer - Hazen title, Renton sportsmanship award.

Boys tennis - Lindbergh title, Lindbergh's Joe Kwiatkowski (athlete of the year).

Girls tennis - Lindbergh title, Lindbergh's Quinn Osborn (athlete of the year).

Boys track and field - Lindbergh title, Lindbergh's Jef Rettman (coach of the year).
