Renton Schools Send 15 To State XC
Lindbergh's Mohamud Abdi wins Westside Classic aims for state 2A boys title next.
The Lindbergh boys cross country team will return to Pasco, Washington Saturday to defend their 2A title with high hopes of senior Mohamud Abdi capturing his own title.
Abdi won the 2A boys Westside Class Saturday October 27 at American Lake Golf Course. He completed the 5,000 meter race in 16:19.4. Abdi missed last year's race with back issues. This will be Abdi's third appearance at the Pasco course. Last year he placed 54th (16:57.7) and helped Lindbergh win the state 2A title. His sophomore year he placed 43rd (16:48.8).
Abdi and the Lindbergh boys will have plenty of familiar faces as Renton Schools will send 15 runners to Sun Willows Golf Course in Pasco.
