Renton's White Named Coach Of The Year

Seamount League winter sports honors announced

Renton schools came away with three Seamount League titles during the winter sports season.

Lindbergh's gymnastics team shared a league title with Highline. Hazen's boys swimming and diving team won a title; and the Renton girls basketball team won its first league title since 1987.

Team Sportsmanship Awards went to Hazen gymnastics and Lindbergh's swimming and diving teams.

Renton girls basketball coach Tim White and Lindbergh's boys swimming and diving coach Roger Miron both won Coach of the Year honors.

Lindbergh's Emily Graver won Most Valuable Play in girls basketball.

Other girls basketball honors include:

First team - Airashay Rogers (Hazen) and Taylor Farris (Renton).

Second team - PJ Tuiasosopo (Renton) and Tia Bryant (Renton)

Honorable Mention - Christina Wiley (Lindbergh), Aleisha Simpson (Lindbergh), Tyra Markey (Hazen) and Cecillee Fernandez (Hazen).

 

Boys basketball honors include:

First team - James Keum (Lindbergh), Jonathan Patterson (Renton), and Frankie Johnson (Hazen).

Second team - Dawit Kasa (Hazen) and Lavelle Smith (Renton).

Honorable Mention - Colin Malone (Lindbergh), Casey Huppe (Lindbergh), Alex Olson (Hazen) and Evan Pienh (Renton).
