Renton High Athletes Sign Letters of Intent

Three female athletes sign with local community colleges.

Three Renton High School athletes — all young women — signed letters of intent to play community college athletics Wednesday, April 3.

First up was volleyball star Hannah Franceschina, an outside hitter signed with Columbia Basin College in Pasco, Washington. Franceschina finished the season with 34 aces, 106 kills, 19 assists, 69 digs and 8 blocks. She will be the only Western Washington player to play for the Hawks who finished 5-8 last season.

Next was Jordan Armstrong, who helped lead the girls basketball to the 3rd place at state has signed with Highline Community College. The point guard who averaged 9.6 points a game this season will likely play a key role for the Thunderbirds who finished 9-7 last season.

The third student-athlete to sign a letter of intent was Justice Perry, also on the 3rd place state basketball team, who committed to play at Shoreline Community College next season. Perry averaged 2.2 points a game provided several assists and defensive rebounds for the Indians. Shoreline finished the season 3-11 last season.
