Renton Girls Advance; Lindbergh Girls Eliminated
Seventh seeded Renton plays second seed Port Angeles, Thursday evening at Foss,
The Renton girls basketball team cruised to a first round victory Tuesday night at Foss High, beating 10th seed Kingston 53-26. Junior Taylor Ferris led all scorers with 24 and teammate Nataja McMillan scored 14 points.
Renton (17-3) will face second seed Port Angeles (15-5) on Thursday also at Foss High with a tip-off at 7:45 p.m. A victory and the Indians will qualify for the 2A Regionals.
A loss and the Indians will find themselves in a fight for the fifth seed to Regionals in a loser out game on Saturday.

The Lindbergh girls season ended with a 42-28 loss to Bremerton to be eliminated from the 2A West Central District tournament ending their season at 10-13. Alex Witherspoon scored 10 points and teammate Paige Alloway added 8 points.
