A number of things did not go right for the Renton Indians Friday night at Renton Stadium in their loss to Cedarcrest 34-13. Head Coach Donald Ponds switched to third string quarter Jawaun Robinson. Coach Ponds would not say why he had to make the last minute change at 3:30 p.m. Friday.
“Robinson did a great job stepping up for us,” Ponds said, “I am proud of all 28 players, they played with heart. However we need to get better at tackling, blocking and passing.”
The Indians also tried for the first time a 'no huddle,' meaning players had the play list on their wrist (just like a quarterback would).

Ponds was also happy with senior Anthony Gold’s performance scoring two touchdowns from 47-yards and 3-yards out. Renton takes on Vancouver College from British Columbia, Thursday, September 8 at 7 p.m. at Renton Memorial Stadium.
The Seamount League Just Play Fair award was given to Renton offensive lineman Kenneth Green.
