Patch Picks for the Super Bowl

Find a comfy chair and a cold beer at these spots to cheer on the Packers—or the Steelers on Super Bowl Sunday.

Steelers and Packers fans will duke it out at a number of Renton venues for the 3:29 kick-off time (PST) for Super Bowl Sunday on Fox’s Channel 13.

 

  1. Grab your Cheesehead, Packers fans, there is no better place to watch a true football rivalry during the Super Bowl than a tavern with a cold beer.  , on S. 3rd Street in downtown Renton will have its usual array of bar food: hot buffalo wings, potato skins,and for the special occasion jello shots and beer specials. And, you know, Packers fans have to have cheese—order the Fried Mac and Cheese.
  2. Like a little micro-brew with your football? The Dog and Pony Ale House has over 30 revolving mircro-brews on tap. The Super Bowl will be shown on every television, and there will be bar snacks in addition to the regular menu. Dog and Pony is well-known for their burgers. Or, try the red-white-and blue nachos for America’s favorite past-time: football.
  3. The Ram at Kent Station is another hot-spot for Packers and Steelers fans to go on Super Bowl Sunday. Well-known for their ice-cold beer, gourmet burgers, or luscious salads, if you want to eat a little lighter. The bar is comfy and you can see the television from nearly every seat. On Super Bowl Sunday, they will be offering the NFL Special—$3.99 Jack & Coke, with a burger order, you can buy one and get the second half-off.
  4. If you are looking for something a little bit different for the Super Bowl, you can join the in Renton for a Super Bowl party starting at 2 p.m.  $10 cover charge which includes food. There are drink specials and a half-time show. For more information check out kentpredators.com
  5. At Dino’s Pub in Renton you’ll find a spacious bar, a rowdy crowd, and 16 TVs blaring the big game, and the ever-popular Super Bowl ads. In other words, it's the place to be on Sunday. They will be offering Bacardi, Jack Daniels and Touchdown specials. The Jaegergirls will be pitching the $6 PBR specials, as well. Food specials will be announced later in the week.
