Matt Leamer Takes Helm For Lindbergh Football

Leamer has been the defensive coordinator under Pat O'Grady

Matt Leamer will take over as head footbal coach at Lindbergh next season as announced today by Lindbergh Athletic Director Keith Hennig.

Leamer has been behind Lindbergh's success on defense with four straight All-City championships, a 2009 league title and five straight playoff appearances.

This is Leamer's second head coaching position at Lindbergh, he is the former boys basketball coach.

"Matt's knowledge of our school, our students-athletes and our community made him the perfect choice to lead our football program," said Hennig.

Leamer's first game is Thursday, September 5 against West Seattle at Renton Stadium.

He is replacing Pat O'Grady who retired last month for family reasons.
