If you look up the word underdog, it says a person who is expected to lose in a contest or conflict. Nearly every game since the 2A West Central District tournament, the Lindbergh boys were not expected to win.

Tonight is no different as the Eagles face the White River Hornets (Buckley) in the 2A Hardwood Classic Boys Semifinals at 9 p.m. at the SunDome in Yakima.

Last night White River defeated Ellensburg 67-65 in overtime shooting 50% from both the 3-point line and on field goals. They had three players in double figures (Billy Kiel 17, Alex Sayler 17 and Jason Tyler 16). Lindbergh knows what it will take to defeat White River, as they lost to them in the WCD Tournament on February 10, 48-46. The Hornets were able to limit James Keum with 12 points. The Eagles are coming off a 56-51 win last night over defending state champion Clover Park. In the quarterfinal game, Keum led all scorers in the state with 33 points, as they team shot 37.5% from the field, 14.3% from the 3-point line and sank 66.7% of free throws.
