Lindbergh Wins All-City Track Meet

The Lindbergh boys and girls track team captured another All-City Championship Friday night at Renton Stadium.

The Eagles captured 23 titles scoring 194.5 points; Renton placed second with 90 points; and Hazen third with 82.5 points. The championship also gives Lindbergh the Seamount League title going undefeated at 7-0.

Mohamud Abdi won two individual titles and one relay for Lindbergh. The senior who signed to run at Everett Community College won the 800, 1600 and was the third leg of the 4x400 relay.

Teammate Janayla Scott jumped her way into a new school and All-City record of 38 feet 11.5 inches in the girls triple jump. The previous record was held by Hazen's Selina Burton at 37 feet, 5 inches in 1993. Scott also won in the  long jump and 100 meter dash.

Lindbergh pole vaulter Kaitlin Zinsli set a new school and All-City record of 11 feet, 9 inches. She held the previous record of 9 feet last year. Zinsli tried a 12-foot vault, but narrowly missed in her three attempts.
