Renton football head coach Donald Ponds hoped his team would start and finish the same. The Indians’ were not able to get started Friday night at Renton Stadium as Renton lost to Kennedy Catholic 43-7. Kennedy had 466 total yards (351 rushing yards) to Renton’s 270 yards.
The Lancers also limited Renton’s Anthony Gold to just one touchdown and 133 yards on 20 carries. Gold now has 18 total touchdowns this season.
Renton quarterback Da’Ssaun Sauls was injured just before halftime on a sack. He was replaced by sophomore Jovuani Robinson.
