Hazen vs Blaine Open Emerald City Kickoff At CenturyLink; Follow Live Coverage On Patch
Highlanders take on 2A Blaine Borderites in the kickoff opener at 9:30 a.m.
The will kick off its season at CenturyLink Field at 9:30 a.m. Saturday as part of the Emerald City Kickoff Classic Hazen (6-3 in 2010) meets 2A Blaine Borderites (4-6 in 2010). This is the first meeting between the two schools. According to the Bellingham Herald, the Borderites turned out 80 kids, many of whom are bigger and tougher after the team failed to make the 2A playoffs for the first time in four years. This will also be the first game for new quarterback Parker Wallace.
