Hazen Soccer Advances; Kennedy Shutout In Playoffs

Highlanders travel to Vancouver to play Columbia River Saturday.

The Hazen girls soccer team shutout Auburn Mountainview Wednesday night at Sunset Chev Stadium in a 3A playoff game.

Senior Dee Dee Green scored in the 75th minute off an assist from Cindy Hanson. Goalkeeper Cameron Devereux earned the shutout, her eighth of the season.

Hazen (12-4-1) travels to Vancouver to play Columbia River Saturday at Kiggins Bowl at 2 p.m. in the Bi-district playoffs. The winner advances to the 3A state tournament as the third seed; the loser is out.

Bonney Lake 4, Kennedy Catholic 0

The Lancers had no answers Wednesday at Highline Stadium. They will play Wilson on Saturday at Sunset Chev Stadium at 2 p.m. The winner advances to the 3A state tournament as the second seed; the loser is out.
