Boys Basketball Preview: Indians Look To Dominate This Season

Senior Jonathan Patterson to lead the way to league title and beyond for Renton.

It's been three years since the Renton Indians boys basketball team has had a winning season overall. Their last league title was 2009 and last state appearance was 2010.

This year's team has a chance to win the league, district and state 2A title. A pre-season poll has the Indians ranked seventh, and they are the only team ranked with a losing record. It's also the year team that both boys and girls teams ranked in the top ten.

The Indians are led by senior forward Jonathan Patterson (avg 16.5 points a game) and senior guard Justin Pieng (avg 13.5 points a game). Renton has a total of nine seniors on the team including guard Lavelle Smith.
