Boys Basketball Preview: Hazen Looks To Rebuild
Center Anthony Phillips looks to add height to Hazen's attack.
Hazen is in a rebuilding year after losing many of it top scorers to graduation. Now the Highlanders are looking to rebuild quickly with three key returners, including senior forward Brody Graybeal who played all 21 games last year (averaged 3.6 points a game). Also returning is senior guard Emmanuel Oppong and sophomore forward Dominic Green.
Adding to the rebuild is junior center Anthony Phillips who stands at 6-feet, 8-inches and is one of the tallest players in the league.
Hazen looks to improve on its 8-6 league and 10-12 overall record. The Highlanders were eliminated in the 3A West Central District tournament last year. Currently Hazen is 2-4 overall with a hard loss to Renton 89-56 Friday night. Hazen had beat Renton twice last year.
