Wrestlers Take Down Pancreatic Cancer, Friday

Wrestling match between four schools will bring awareness to the fourth leading cause of cancer.

Hazen and Highline high school wrestling teams will host the 2nd annual Taking Down Pancreatic Cancer event on Friday January 11, 2013.

The goal is to spread an awareness of the fourth leading cause of cancer-related death and most lethal form of major cancer, while also raising money to go toward pancreatic cancer research. 

Participating teams include Hazen, Highline, Oak Harbor, and Lynnwood.The competition will be in a wrestling double dual format.  The first round will consist of: Highline vs Lynnwood; Hazen vs Oak Harbor, while the second round will be: Highline vs Oak Harbor, Hazen vs. Lynnwood.

This year the event will be held at Highline High School in Burien, WA.  Competition will begin at 5:00 PM, doors will open at 4 p.m.  Proceeds will be donated to the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network.
