POLL: State And League Football Championship 2012, Who Is Your Pick To Win?

Surprises await in the Seamount League with state outlook neutral.

It's never easy to determine how to rank teams, especially those from around the state. At each practice I get approached by parents on my thoughts on the year and not just locally, but around the region. Mostly looking for information on their alumni. So here is my breakdown for how I believe the Seamount League will finish and a current poll for 3A and 2A schools.

Seamount League predictions

  1. Kennedy 5-1
  2. Hazen 5-1
  3. Renton 4-2
  4. Lindbergh 4-2
  5. Foster 2-4
  6. Evergreen 1-5
  7. Highline 1-5

Kennedy will lose its first league game in many years to either Hazen or Lindbergh; however Renton looks to be a contender to beat Hazen or Lindbergh; forcing another three way tie for the All-City Championship. Kennedy looks to repeat as Seamount League champions again. In 10 years, Kennedy has won nine league titles.

Kennedy is only playing two non-league games their toughest opponents all season; where others are playing three as a result of Tyee not having a football team. Lindbergh is now playing two non-leagues as the first game on Saturday is now a controlled scrimmage.

Bremerton moves to 2A, eliminating the playoff points system for Kennedy and Hazen.

Lindbergh, Renton and Foster will make the first round. Interlake of Bellevue moved to 3A so no playoff points system will be in place there.

Official allocations have not been release as this is the first year with the new enrollment numbers.
