2A Boys Lindbergh Loses To Top Ranked Clover Park

Lindbergh plays Squalicum Friday in 2A Regionals at Stanwood

Update Monday, 8:30 p.m.

Lindbergh advances to the 2A Regionals Friday with their second consecutive loss in the 2A WCD tourney Monday evening. The Eagles lost to top ranked Clover Park 53-46 to secure the district's fifth seed into the 2A Regionals.

Lindbergh will play third-ranked Squalicum (18-3), Friday at 8 p.m. at Stanwood High School. Squalicum is currently on a four game winning streak.

Update as of Sunday 12 p.m. The Renton boys were eliminated from the 2A WCD tourny Saturday with their 46-34 loss to Kingston. The Indians end their season 10-14 overall. After Lindbergh's dominate game Friday against Evergreen, their game Saturday against Sumner was just the opponsite.

The Eagles lost their semi-final game 52-37. James Keum scored 29 of Lindbergh 37 total points. The Eagles (14-11) will face Clover Park at Foss, Monday at 6 p.m. The winner is the District 3 #3 seed (playing WF West on Friday), the loser is the District 3 #5 seed (District 1 #1 seed).

2A Regionals - Friday, Febuary 24 Lindbergh win on Monday play Mark Morris at Tumwater High, 6 p.m. Lindbergh loss on Monday play Squalicum at Stanwood High, 8 p.m.

UPDATE as of Friday 9:45 a.m.: The Lindbergh boys dominated their league rival Evergreen Thursday night in the second round of the 2A WCD tournament, winning 54-31. From the tip-off the Eagles control the game leading 27-8 at the half. Renton boys will face Kingston in a loser out game on Saturday. The Indians need two wins to advance to regionals.

UPDATE as of Wednesday 10 a.m.: The Lindbergh boys basketball team defeated Fife Tuesday night in the opener of the 2A WCD tournament. Details of the game were not reported. Lindbergh will face Seamount League Champs Evergreen Thursday at Foss High, 8 p.m. Renton's Jonathan Patterson scored 15 points against White River, but it was not enough as the Indians lost to White River 55-49. Renton will play the loser of the Sumner-Kingston game on Saturday.
