Petition to The Seattle Times to Stop Savings Source Ad Littering

The Seattle Times contracts with advertisers to deliver over 700,000 plastic-wrapped, Seattle Savings Source ads, which end up littering our neighborhoods.

I have started a petition on change.org to The Seattle Times asking them to stop delivering Savings Source ads to our neighborhoods.  Please take a moment to read the petition, and sign if you agree.

Thanks, Jeff. I should have posted your link as well. Both petitions have impact, and you can sign each of them. It's not a competition. Jeff and I both want to see the ad littering stop. Thanks for your participation!

We have made great progress, thanks to Jeff, who also started a petition, Erik and Jeff, who made some phone calls, Tukwila and West Seattle area blogs, that applied pressure, and a helpful letter written by a member of Larry Gossett's staff urging The Seattle Times to stop the littering. We have learned that Savings Source will now be delivered to 98178 by postal mail only. There are two ways to opt out of postal mailings: use cataloguechoice.org, or send an email to Paul Wood, pwood@seattletimes.com giving your name and address, and asking to opt out. Thanks everyone, for all your help!
