Talbot's Kelly Kosir Earns "Hero In The Classroom" Title

Kindergarten teacher named Hero in the Classroom by Seahawks and Symetra Financial.

Talbot Hill Elementary kindergarten teacher Kelly Kosir has been named a Hero in the Classroom by the Seattle Seahawks and Symetra Financial. The two organizations are partnering together through the football season to recognize 24 area teachers who are making a real difference in the lives of students.

Kelly is the second Renton School District teacher to be recognized: Earlier this week, Dimmitt Middle School teacher Stephanie Pender was also recognized.

The recognition comes with two tickets to this weekend’s Seattle Seahawks home game, a pre-game VIP sideline experience, a personalized football jersey, and $1,000 for the teacher to use to purchase school supplies for her classroom. Kelly, a big Seahawks fan and season ticket holder, said she will use one of the tickets to her father to the game against the New England Patriots.

Nominations for the Seahawks/Symetra Hero in the Classroom program are still being sought: Click here to nominate a teacher as a Hero in the Classroom.
