Renton High School ARROW Editorial Staff Win Custer Award

Each year the Renton History Museum gives a George W. and Annie Lewis Custer Award for Heritage Citizenship to a person or group that makes an outstanding contribution to local history through documentation.

The Renton Historical Society presents the George W. and Annie Lewis Custer Award for Heritage Citizenship annually for outstanding contributions in documenting, preserving, interpreting, and/or educating about Renton's heritage. Β The 2011 award was given to Renton High School teacher Derek Smith and the student staff of ARROW Magazine for the Renton High School Centennial issue of the student magazine. Β The award was accepted by Derek Smith and Editor-in-Chief Olivia Fry.
