No Changes To Seamount League Sports For 2012-2014

Sammamish and Lake Washington join 2A schools for playoffs; Interlake goes 3A

The Washington Interscholastic Activities Association announced the classifications for the next two years as finalized by the WIAA Executive Board on January 23, 2012.

All three Renton high schools (Hazen, Lindbergh and Renton) will remain in the 2A/3A Seamount League along with Kennedy Catholic, Highline, Tyee, Foster and Evergreen.

In the 3A Seamount League - Highline (1182.34), Hazen (1179.01) and Kennedy Catholic (638 opted up from 2A).

In the 2A Seamount League - Renton (1004.53), Lindbergh (914.86), Evergreen (814.22), Tyee (650.28) and Foster (648).

Several changes in playoff allocations will occurr for the next two years:

Interlake who was 2A will move to 3A.

Bremerton who was 3A will move down to 2A inline with the rest of the  Olympic League.

Joining the 2A Seamount League in playoff allocations will be Sammamish and Lake Washington high schools. A point system will be used for most sports to determine seeding, just as it was for Interlake.Official team and individual playoff allocations will not be known until later in the year.
