Live Updates From Renton-Hazen Football Game

Tonight’s football game between Hazen and Renton is for all the marbles in town, along with playoff seeding. Renton Patch will be tweeting the game from Renton Stadium starting at 7 p.m. and also posting scores from Lindbergh’s game at Foster.

Complete game coverage, including photos from the game and Hazen’s homecoming, will be published Saturday along with a story on the man behind the Walter J. Tracey Jr. Memorial Trophy. Playoff seeding will also be published as they are confirmed by the West Central District and the Washington Interscholastic Athletic Association.

Right now, Hazen and Renton are confirmed for playoffs next weekend (either Nov 4th or 5th). Hazen will face the loser of tonights Metro League Championship game between O'Dea or Franklin. Hazen and Franklin played last year with the Quakers winning 28-13.
Depending on Interlake and Renton's outcome tonight; Interlake win they are number #1 seed, Renton #2 seed. If Interlake loses, Renton claims the #1 seed and Interlake gets the #2 seed. Number one seed hosts North Kitsap at Renton Stadium (either Nov 4th or 5th). Number 2 seed travels to play against White River at Sumner. Renton missed the playoffs last year.

Lindbergh must beat Foster to claim the third seed. If Lindbergh wins they will play Tuesday, Nov. 1 at Renton Stadium against an Olympic League fourth seed (Port Angeles - if they lose to Sequim tonight). If the Eagles lose, they will be out.
Lindbergh beat Kingston 41-20 then lost to Anacortes in the first round of the 2A playoffs 28-14.
