Tacoma Community College Jazz Band Offers A Smooth Break From The Holdiay Madness

The band - which performs Tuesday - will feature Eric Stevens. Best part? It's free.

Live music is unparalleled in my book.

And though the festival season is over for the most part, you can still find some great shows that are local and - drum roll, please - free.

For University Place, you can turn to Tacoma Community College. The school's jazz band's latest live music installment is scheduled for 8 p.m., Tuesday. It will feature the TCC Jazz Band with guest Eric Stevens, who will lead a 20-piece ensemble that plays jazz tunes to groove to and take your mind off the stress of the holidays.

You can find sanctuary in Building 2 (on the 12th Street side of campus). Don't worry if you can't make it. Many of these concerts are also streamed live on Titan TV 2. Archived video performances are also available at our website.

Sounds pretty relaxing after a day of shopping or out in the winter cold, eh? We think so too.

Heck yea. I love visiting the TCC auditorium for live shows...it's a good excuse to visit the Gallery when it's open as well.
