Hazen Swim Captures 3A District Title

Highlanders win five races to take title.

The Hazen girls swimming and diving team are celebrating a 3A West Central District championship after the Highlanders won five races, scoring 235 points to Peninsula's 198. Kennedy Catholic placed third with 195 points.

Hazen won races in:

200 Yard Medley Relay (Talisa Wibmer, Kourtney Brunings, Kayla DiMicco, Taylor Gale) 1:56.32

A complete list of state qualifiers will be posted later in the week. The state swimming and diving championshps is at the King County Aquatic Center in Federal Way, starting Friday with 3A (Hazen) at 9:45 a.m. and 2A (Renton/Lindbergh) at 6:15 p.m.

Saturday's finals begin at 10 a.m. (Hazen) and 6:30 p.m. (Renton/Lindbergh).
