Liberty Park Library Building Steering Committee To Hold First Meeting Sept. 28

The steering committee is expected to meet for approximately six months, and its recommendations will be forwarded on to the Mayor and City Council.

The new  will gather for its first meeting on Wednesday, Sept. 28 at 6:30 p.m. in the Council Chambers on the 7th floor of , 1055 South Grady Way.


Anyone who submitted an application to serve on the committee was accepted as long as the applicant fit the criteria of the application, such as living within the city limits; however, everyone is welcome to attend and listen in on the meeting.


The steering committee is expected to meet for approximately six months, and its recommendations will be forwarded on to the Mayor and City Council for consideration regarding the .

The City will also host public forms to gather community input on how the current library building should be re-purposed. The dates for those meetings have not yet been scheduled.
