Fire District 20 Levy Passes With Wide Margin

West Hill citizens continue to support its local fire district.

With the passage of the King County Fire District 20 Proposition No. 1  (72.29% Yes to 27.7% No), West Hill citizens continue to support its local fire district even during the hardest times. The excess levy provides continued support of fire protection and emergency medical services, facilities, maintenance, staffing and operations.

“We want to thank the citizens of West Hill for passing this levy,” said Fire Chief Dave Crossen. “The levy is a key component in the future of the fire district as we continue to respond to the communities emergencies.”

With continued decreases in property value, the excess levy is asking for approximately $0.60 per $1,000 for the first two years and approximately $0.90 for the last two years; for a total of $3 million. The current assessed value of the fire district is $1.50 per $1,000 assessed value.
