Democrats Ready For Presidential Caucuses, April 15

Do you know where to Caucus on April 15?

While many will be preparing their taxes on Sunday, April 15, 2012 will be the day of the Democratic Party Caucuses throughout Washington state. Doors open at 12:30 p.m. with the Caucuses beginning at 1 p.m.

Local Democratic party organizations within the Washington state’s 49 legislative districts have been preparing for several months for this event, which happens once every four years. Its main purpose is to galvanize party supporters and elect delegates to the Washington State Democrats Convention in June. These delegates will have the opportunity to move forward to Democratic National Convention and formalize the Democratic Party nominee for President. In the case of this Presidential election cycle, the Democrats will have a singular choice: The incumbent President, Barack Obama.
